We'll tell you where not to spend money
Most custom builds we're asked about are unbalanced in the same direction: too much processor, not enough graphics card, and money spent on lighting that would have bought a meaningfully better component. Pre-built machines from big retailers often have the opposite problem — a headline processor paired with slow memory, a small drive and a power supply chosen to hit a price.
So the first conversation is about what you actually do with it. A gaming machine at 1440p, a photo-editing machine, a machine that mostly runs a browser and a spreadsheet and needs to be silent — those are three genuinely different builds, and only one of them needs an expensive graphics card.
We'd rather build you the right $900 machine than sell you the wrong $1,600 one.
Your parts or ours
If you've already bought components, bring them — assembly starts at $149 and we'll check the parts are compatible before we begin rather than after. It's not unusual for a self-assembled list to have a memory kit the board won't run at rated speed, or a cooler that fouls the case, and it's much cheaper to find that out before anything is opened.
If you'd rather we sourced everything, we buy at cost and show you the list. No markup hidden in the parts, no mystery "system price". You see what each component costs and why it was chosen, and you can swap anything you disagree with.
Either way you own the receipts and the individual manufacturer warranties, which is not always true of pre-built machines.
Built to be worked on later
Assembly is the easy part. Building it so it's still pleasant in three years is what takes the time. Cables routed and combed behind the tray so airflow isn't blocked and so the side panel goes on without a fight. Fans arranged so intake and exhaust actually work together instead of against each other. A power supply with enough headroom for the upgrade you'll want later.
Big-brand pre-builts frequently use proprietary boards, power supplies and cases specifically so you can't upgrade them. We don't build like that. Standard parts, standard sizes, room to add a drive or a bigger graphics card without starting over.
Tested before it leaves
Every build gets stress-tested rather than switched on once and boxed. Processor and graphics under sustained load, memory tested for errors, temperatures monitored throughout, storage health verified. Component failures cluster heavily in the first few days, and we would much rather find one here than have you find it a week in.
You collect it with the operating system installed, updated, and configured — not a bare machine and a USB stick. If you want particular software, games or profiles set up, tell us and it'll be ready to use when you get home.

Questions we get asked
How much does a custom PC cost?
Assembly starts at $149 and parts are billed at cost. A capable 1080p gaming machine typically lands around $700–$1,000 all-in; a solid office or home machine considerably less. We'll build to a budget you set rather than talking you upward.
I've already bought the parts. Will you just build it?
Yes — that's the $149 assembly. We'll check compatibility before starting, which occasionally catches a part that won't work as intended. Better to find that before the box is opened and it can still be returned.
Is a custom build better than buying pre-built?
Usually, for the money. You get better components for the same price, standard parts you can upgrade later, and individual warranties. Pre-builts win on convenience and occasionally on graphics-card pricing during shortages — we'll say so if that's the case for you.
Will you set up the software too?
Yes. It leaves here with the operating system installed, fully updated and configured. Tell us what you need on it and it'll be ready to use rather than ready to start setting up.
